1. Scope of Services
Welcome to WellMeet (禄见) services. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and WellMeet. By accessing our website, registering an account, or purchasing any service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Patient Responsibilities
WellMeet is a medical tourism coordination service provider. Our services include:
- Medical Consultation & Matching: Recommending suitable hospitals and doctors based on your condition, arranging remote consultations.
- Travel Coordination: Assisting with medical visa processing, booking flights and hotels, arranging airport transfers.
- Accompaniment & Translation: Providing professional medical translation and full accompaniment services.
- Post-Operative Follow-up: Coordinating post-discharge recovery plans and long-term follow-ups.
Important Disclaimers:
- Not a Medical Provider: WellMeet is not a hospital, clinic, or medical provider. We do not provide diagnosis, treatment, surgery, or any direct medical services.
- Independent Contractors: All medical services are provided by independent third-party hospitals and physicians. WellMeet acts solely as a coordinator and is not directly liable for medical outcomes, medical malpractice, or physicians' professional judgments.
3. Fees and Payment
- You must be at least 18 years old, or using our services under the supervision of a parent/legal guardian.
- You warrant that all information provided (especially medical records and identity information) is truthful, accurate, and complete.
- You agree not to use our services for any illegal activities or to disseminate false information.
4. Cancellation Policy
4.1 Estimates and Final Costs
- The fee calculator on our website provides estimates only and does not constitute a final quote.
- Final medical costs are determined by the hospital based on actual examination results and treatment plans, and may change during the treatment process.
- WellMeet's service fees (such as coordination fees, consultation fees) will be clearly listed in the contract.
4.2 Payment Terms
- Deposit: Booking services typically requires a deposit (such as 30%-50% of the service package total). Once paid, except as otherwise provided in these Terms, deposits are non-refundable.
- Balance: The remaining amount must be paid before service commencement or at agreed milestone points.
- Medical Costs: Most medical costs must be paid directly to the hospital, or reimbursed to you after WellMeet pays on your behalf.
- Currency & Exchange: All prices are quoted in USD or CNY. Exchange rate fluctuation risk is borne by the user.
4.3 Cancellation and Refund Policy
WellMeet Service Fees:
- Cancellation 30+ days before departure: Full refund (minus bank processing fees).
- Cancellation 15-30 days before departure: 50% refund.
- Cancellation within 15 days of departure: Non-refundable.
Hospital Fees: Follow each partner hospital's cancellation policy (typically full refund if cancelled 7-14 days before admission, penalties may apply thereafter).
Force Majeure: Due to war, natural disasters, pandemic lockdowns, or other force majeure events preventing travel, we will assist in applying for full refunds or postponements, but will not be liable for additional losses.
5. Limitation of Liability
This is a critical section you must read carefully:
- No Medical Advice: Information provided by WellMeet (including physician recommendations, treatment plan explanations) is for general reference only and cannot substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- Assumption of Risk: All medical procedures carry inherent risks (including complications, infection, failure, or even death). You should fully understand the risks before signing an informed consent form with your physician. WellMeet is not liable for any medical consequences.
- Physician Selection: Although we rigorously screen physicians, medical outcomes are influenced by many factors (such as individual differences, condition complexity). We cannot guarantee specific treatment outcomes.
- Emergency Situations: If an emergency medical situation occurs during travel, immediately call local emergency services (120 in China) or go to the nearest hospital. WellMeet can assist with coordination but does not assume rescue liability.
6. Governing Law
- Visa Responsibility: WellMeet can provide visa invitation letters and guidance, but does not guarantee visa approval. Losses due to visa rejection (such as already-paid non-refundable flights/hotels) are the user's responsibility unless appropriate travel insurance has been purchased.
- Travel Documents: You ensure you hold a valid passport and necessary travel documents.
- Fitness to Travel: You declare that your physical condition is suitable for long-distance flights and foreign treatment. If you have special requirements (such as stretcher, oxygen), you must inform us in advance and bear additional costs.
7.Intellectual Property
- WellMeet's website content, Logo, brand names, original copy, videos, and images are protected by copyright and trademark law.
- Without written permission, you may not copy, distribute, modify, or use for commercial purposes.
- User-uploaded content (such as medical records, reviews) grants WellMeet non-exclusive, royalty-free usage rights, solely for service improvement and anonymized case display (with de-identification required).
8.User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Provide false or misleading medical information.
- Harass, insult, or threaten our staff, physicians, or other users.
- Attempt to hack systems, spread viruses, or engage in any cyberattacks.
- Use the service for fraud or money laundering.
9.Limitation of Liability
WellMeet's maximum liability is the total service fee you have paid to us. We are not liable for the following:
- Medical outcomes, complications, or medical malpractice: These are the responsibility of third-party hospitals and physicians.
- Travel delays, flight cancellations, hotel issues: These are the responsibility of third-party service providers such as airlines and hotels.
- Indirect losses: Including but not limited to lost wages, emotional distress, subsequent treatment costs (unless explicitly agreed in the contract).
